The story within the coffee cafe category continues to be strong and still-growing Starbucks. The leading chain increased sales by 12.8% to top $13.9 billion and grew its unit count by 7.9% to more than 13,000. Starbucks sales now make up almost 55% of the category. Among all the Top 500 coffee cafe brands, sales grew 9.9% to $23.3 billion, and units 6.2% to 23,807.
