2016 Top 500: Pizza chains

Pizza Hut

One sign of a promising menu category is that both the large players and the emerging chains have healthy growth rates. While fast-casual DIY concepts like MOD Pizza, Blaze Pizza and Pieology Pizzeria are making big gains, doubling or even tripling systemwide sales, Little Caesars, Papa John’s and especially Domino’s (up 14.1%) continue to shine. Overall, the limited-service pizza chains within the Top 500 increased sales by 5.9% and units by 1.8%.
