Adelsberg Named Sysco Exec V-P in LA

HOUSTON - Saul J. Adelsberg has been named executive vice president of Sysco Food Services of Los Angeles, Inc., a Sysco broadline foodservice subsidiary located in Walnut, CA, reported the locally-based corporation.

Adelsberg, who is currently senior vice president of sales and marketing for that company, will assume his new role effective July 4, the beginning of Sysco's fiscal year 2005.

Adelsberg, 44, began his Sysco career in 1983 as a marketing associate at Sysco Food Services of Los Angeles and was later named district sales manager in 1988. In 1991 he was appointed regional sales manager, progressed to vice president of sales in 1998 and was named to his current position in 2002. Adelsberg was born in Los Angeles and raised in Sun Valley, CA. He is a 1983 graduate of California State University - Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He and his wife, Dawn, have a son and daughter and reside in Newport Coast, CA.
