(December 3, 2010)—Recently, Gordon Food Service Healthcare Segment Manager, Maureen Leugers, MBA, RD, CD was honored with the Dietitians in Business and Communications (DBC) Founders Award. DBC is a practice group of the American Dietetic Association.
According to the DBC, "Each year [DBC] bestows the Founder's Award, honoring a member for their outstanding contributions … The award is given to an individual who has impacted the inner structure and foundation of the DBC, its strategy, and direction."
The American Dietetic Association also recognized Gordon Food Service (GFS) with the Circle Award for the work GFS as a whole has done toward furthering Dietetics in Healthcare Communities, a practice group of the American Dietetics Association. According to this group, the Circle Award highlights an individual or organization that has provided outstanding or unique support for the consultant dietitian, and it is considered to be one of the highest honors granted to non-members.
