NEW YORK (March 6, 2012)—Holtsville-based J. Kings Food Service Professionals has opened a satellite office in Manhattan, where it’s been doing business for nearly 40 years.
The company’s new office will be used by J. Kings’ expanding sales staff to cover its many clients in New York and New Jersey, according to a press release.
“I’m excited that our sales team will have offices, a conference center, presentation room and a sampling room at their disposal,” John McElgun, executive vice president of sales for J. Kings, said in a statement. “The office is centrally located in walking distance from Columbus Circle with easy access to mass transit and should help us in our endeavor to develop a sales team of local culinarians.”
J. Kings Sales Director Kevin Burke said the new office helps solves a logistics nightmare for the food-service firm.
“I can’t wait to start interviewing for a dedicated New York sales team that won’t have to spend four hours a day traveling,” Burke said in the statement.
