Krystal unveils coffee lineup centered on customization

The Krystal quick-service chain has debuted a coffee platform that plays into diners’ demand for customization—offering coffee served in three different ways: frozen, hot or iced.

"Whether you like your coffee hot, iced, or frozen, as an accompaniment to our fresh, delicious food or alone, as a midmorning or midafternoon pick-me-up, now you can have it how you like it, whenever you want it," Alice Crowder, vice president of marketing for the chain, said to consumers in a statement.

Krystal’s not the only QSR to recently announce a revamp of its coffee offerings; McDonald’s last month said it would give its McCafe line of coffee drinks a new look in 2018, making the offerings more prominent at the unit level and adding the sale of espresso.
