Some lawmakers are pushing Oregon to raise the state's minimum wage to $15 per hour.
They voiced support Wednesday for House Bill 2009 and Senate Bill 332.
Oregon's minimum wage currently sits at $9.25.
Advocates for increasing it, like Representative Peter Buckley (D-Ashland), say $9.25 is simply not enough money for thousands of people to make a living.
