Bixby joins the distributorship from Campbell Soup Co., where he directed club, mass merchandiser, dollar, convenience and drug channel sales since 2001.
Previously, Bixby managed supplier relationships and product sales through Costco for Procter & Gamble. In his 18 years with P&G, Bixby was responsible for creating merchandising programs for such well known brands as Tide, Folgers, Bounty and Crest. This experience led him to managing full P&G product line regional programs with major retailers in northwestern states.
"We're pleased to have Scott Bixby's broad experience to lead our system-wide merchandising program," said Thomas Staley, Food Services of America president and ceo. "He brings fresh thinking to foodservice marketing that will make a positive impact on our distribution centers sales performance."
Bixby heads a team of product category and marketing management teams located at the company's Seattle headquarters. He is also responsible for extending centralized marketing and merchandising programs through the company's network of distribution centers located throughout the western and mid-western states, including Alaska.
