Some 90% of its distributor volume is represented at the show, according to Doug Polk, president.
Expressing his satisfaction with the members' and suppliers' attendance, Polk said business was strong for its distributors last year, with half of them reporting that they are already ahead of last year's revenues.
"This show is proof that there is a place in the foodservice industry for independent distributors," Polk said.
More than 100 supplier-members displayed their new products today and another group of 100 is expected to do so tomorrow, a group spokesman said. The show concludes Saturday.
