Bourbon-inspired burgers offered at area McDonald’s

The spirit of the Bluegrass is undeniably alive, full of flavor and guaranteed to leave an impression. The same goes for the new Spirit of Kentucky Burger from McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana — with flavors like bourbon-flavored sauce and thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon that create a taste unique to Kentuckiana, according to a McDonald’s news release.

With a vision to introduce a new premium sandwich, inspired by flavors that Kentuckiana McDonald’s customers would love, local McDonald’s owner/operators and other local McDonald’s representatives created the Spirit of Kentucky Burger from start to finish in your neighborhood kitchen.

Thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon, bourbon-flavored sauce, fresh tomato, crisp leaf lettuce, slivered onions and white cheddar layered on a quarter pound of 100 percent pure beef and served on an artisan roll create a taste that is sure to be a local favorite.

This new, limited-time only 100 percent pure beef burger will be available at any of the 99 McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana locations, beginning April 6 through May 30.
