City Line Automates Hiring Process

With the implementation of nowHIRE’s system, City Line has fully automated the hiring process, saving thousands of dollars annually in hard and soft costs—time, space and money.

City Line reportedly processes approximately 2,500 employment applications per year. Prior to nowHIRE, the company used a paper-based application process. Each applicant provided differing information, which made the process inconsistent. Additionally, storing paper applications and resumes created a space problem. The new automated system streamlines and standardizes the hiring process by allowing applicants to complete an application online or through the use of a kiosk set up in City Line’s lobby.

“Now I can recall applications at the click of a button and search for applicants in the database without having to camp out at a file cabinet,” said Erica Blackmon, the distributor’s recruiter.

The automated system provides all necessary applicant tracking components, including pre-screening and qualifying, an advanced resume database and online background checks. It also includes a printable completed application in PDF format, which applicants sign off on for accuracy.
