Consumers are looking for more international flavors, with 26% saying they would like to see more ethnic breakfast items offered, per Technomic’s Breakfast Consumer Trend Report. Respondents are calling for specific Latin items such as chilaquiles, burritos and chorizo, as well as Indian and other Asian flavors. Rather than add new dishes entirely, some operators are using spices and sauces to bring ethnic twists to more familiar fare.
