Corner Bakery and Il Fornaio name Frank Paci CEO

Corner Bakery Cafe and Il Fornaio have named Frank Paci CEO, the companies announced Thursday.

Paci, who most recently served as CEO of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group and was earlier CEO of the McAlister’s Deli chain, replaces Mike Hislop, who will maintain his position as chairman of the board.

In his new role, Paci will be responsible for moving the 190-unit bakery-cafe and 22-unit Italian brands into the future, Hislop said.

“I am excited to join the Corner Bakery Cafe and Il Fornaio teams and look forward to working with our employees and franchisees to further enhance and grow these two great brands,” Paci said in a statement. “The strength of this company and the foundation for growth developed over the past few years is a tribute to the efforts of Mike and his management teams.”

Corner Bakery and Il Fornaio’s parent company, Il Fornaio Corp., is owned by Roark Capital
