Attendees will see the latest trends – including energy-conserving restaurant equipment, labor-saving technology and multi-functional kitchen tools – throughout the exhibit floor, in special pavilions, hands-on demonstrations and targeted free education sessions all four days of the event.

“The right kitchen equipment and technology are crucial components to the success of any restaurant to streamline operations and save money,” said Lorna Donatone, convention chair for NRA Show 2009 and president, school services, at Sodexo Inc. “This economy demands that operators make efficient use of their resources to satisfy ever-changing customer demand and maximize productivity. The NRA Show boasts more new product launches than any other industry event and is the largest global marketplace for our industry, ensuring the widest range of solutions for any restaurant concept. The exhibit floor is lined with the latest innovations that will help operators satisfy these demands and boost their bottom lines.”

According to NRA research, the top trends in restaurant kitchens include use of environmentally friendly equipment and practices; improving productivity and efficiency; equipment/technology that maximizes food quality and shelf life; and kitchen design to maximize staff flow, storage and safety. NRA Show 2009 will include several features that highlight these trends and more.

The prestigious Kitchen Innovations (KI) Awards will showcase the most cutting edge kitchen equipment on the market as judged by an independent expert panel. In the KI Pavilion, the awardees will perform hands-on demonstrations to allow attendees to experience the equipment first-hand and select the right time-and-money-saving products for their operations.

The Technology Pavilion will highlight the latest technology available, including state-of-the-art POS systems, wireless technologies, ordering and delivery, inventory control, customer relationship management, electronic and online marketing and other products designed to expedite business and reduce costs.
