Darren Tristano has been named president of Technomic Inc. following the research and consulting company’s acquisition by Winsight LLC, the parent company of Restaurant Business.
Tristano, formerly executive vice president of Technomic’s Information Services division, will now be responsible for all aspects of the Chicago company’s operation.
“Our intent when purchasing the business was to identify opportunities for investment and to organize a leadership team with the vision and skill to make the company even more successful,” said Mike Wood, CEO of Winsight. “Based on his demonstrated success in growing the Information Services divisions, his credibility across the industry and his lasting allegiance to the business, Darren stood out as a natural candidate for this role.”
