Red Lobster has debuted a revamped menu centered on new small plates and internationally influenced dishes.
Its small plates offerings, dubbed Tasting Plates, include Yucatan Shrimp, Loaded Seaside Fries, a small lobster roll, Shrimp Potstickers and Dragon Broccoli. These items sell for an average of $4.99.
The chain's new Globally Inspired dishes, which menu between $10.49 and $16.99, include: Dragon Shrimp, Yucatan Tilapia and Shrimp, Southwest-Style Tacos and Pub-Style Fish and Chips.
Red Lobster says the new items play into changes it recently made in its kitchens, such as implementing new saute stations and seafood pots, as well as new back-of-house tech.
“As we talked to our guests, we also heard that they want to eat seafood with us more often for other occasions and in different ways,” Red Lobster President Salli Setta said in a statement. “We are excited about this new menu because it gives our guests new ways to enjoy seafood for more occasions and explore different flavors at an affordable price point.”
The casual-dining chain last week introduced a new Surf & Turf promotion, featuring a few twists on the classic steak-and-seafood pairing.
