Longtime Yard House CEO Harald Herrmann resigned from Darden Restaurants to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities in his native Southern California, the multi-chain company announced this morning.

Hermann had been president of Darden’s Specialty Restaurant Group, which includes Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52 and Yard House. Herrmann assumed the post not long after Darden acquired Yard House in 2012.

David George, president of Olive Garden, will take over oversight of Seasons 52 and Bahama Breeze.

The Capital Grille, Eddie V’s and Yard House will now be overseen by Darden CEO Gene Lee.
