Haunert Tapped as Executive Vice President of Sysco-Central Ohio



Haunert, who currently serves as senior vice president of sales for the Columbus, Ohio-based operation, will assume his new role effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Haunert, 41, began his Sysco career in 1990 as a marketing associate for Abbott Foods, the predecessor company to Sysco Food Services of Central Ohio, which was the ID Great Distributor Organization in 2001. He was promoted to key accounts manager for the company's program sales department in 1995 and advanced to director of program sales in 1997.

Haunert was named vice president of program sales in 2000, vice president of program sales and business development in 2002, and in 2003 he was promoted to his current position. Prior to joining Sysco he served for three years in sales and management positions in the restaurant industry.

Haunert was born and raised in Fort Thomas, KY. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in restaurant and institution management. He and his wife, Tara, have two sons and a daughter and reside in Dublin, Ohio.
