ID NEWS: Ahold to report next week

Royal Ahold, Zaandam, The Netherlands, will publish a second-quarter sales update next week, according to a Reuters report. Parent of U.S. Foodservice, Columbia, MD, Ahold is required to present its 2002 audited results to lenders by August 15. The international supermarket and foodservice company has been struggling to get its financials in order since revelations of major accounting irregularities earlier in the year, particularly at the U.S. foodservice distributorship.
