ID NEWS: Ahold to unveil final results of probes soon

Royal Ahold, Zaandam, The Netherlands, is getting set to unveil the results of three final investigations into accounting scandals that resulted in profit overstatements of more than $900 million, according to Reuters.

Final results are possible before the week is out, a spokesperson said.

The international company's U.S. Foodservice subsidiary in Columbia, MD, represents the bulk of the accounting irregularities: Some $880 million in profits were overstated by the national broadliner.
