MCLEAN, VA (February 23, 2012)—In late January, International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) members elected new IFDA Board Officers for terms from 2012 – 2014 including industry leaders Thomas A. Zatina, president of McLane Foodservice, Inc., as IFDA chairman, and Boyd F. Jordan, III, president of Reinhart FoodService, LLC, as vice chairman. James Crawford, chairman and CEO of Clover Hill Foods, was re-elected as IFDA Treasurer until 2014. The IFDA Board of Directors serves as the governing body of the association and directs major strategies and objectives that support the success of IFDA distributor members.
In addition to the election of new officers, two new directors joined other leaders on the IFDA Board and eight existing Board Members were re-elected to three-year terms.
“IFDA’s mission is to provide leadership and action on industry issues that are important to our members’ success,” said Tom Zatina. “This organization plays a unique role in our industry representing IFDA member interests on Capitol Hill, providing important events for distributor education and forums for distributor and manufacturer interaction, and putting together research and benchmarking that can give IFDA members a competitive edge,” said Zatina.
“In 2012, we have 27 industry leaders serving on the IFDA Board who provide their counsel and set strategy that makes our association highly relevant to our members in this changing industry. I want to thank all of these leaders for their commitment in efforts to help all IFDA members prosper,” said Zatina.
