Biscuitville has named a new president.
Kathie Niven, who previously served as chief brand officer for the 54-unit, family-owned Southern sandwich chain, will take on the role. The position had been vacant for a year and a half, after Jim Metevier left to spend more time with family, a company spokesman said.
In her previous post, Niven introduced an in-house agency model to Biscuitville by building a team responsible for all communications and marketing initiatives. She also steered the company’s brand positioning, including logo development, restaurant redesign, packaging, uniforms and trademarking.
“During her work since 2011, Kathie has led the transformation of Biscuitville with our fresh look, new menu items and restaurant design,” said Burney Jennings, the brand’s chief executive officer. “I’m thrilled to have Kathie as Biscuitville’s leader, and I’m looking forward to working closely with Kathie in her new role,” he added.
Before joining Biscuitville, Niven served as a vice president with Quiznos and as an executive with Arby’s, Burger King and Krispy Kreme.
