Maines Adds 22 Burger King Outlets to Long-time Chain Relationship

Annual sales from the deal are expected to total $25 million for the duration of the agreement and bring the total number of Burger King outlets serviced by Maines to 1,808, the ninth largest distributorship according to the 2007 ID Top 50 Report said in the story. Work for the 22 locations is being added into an existing contract with Burger King that ends in 2010.

Maines, with annual sales of $2.4 billion last year, and Burger King have been working together since 1972, when distributorship started servicing a Burger King restaurant on Front Street in Binghamton, according to the company.

To meet the demands of the new arrangement, the newspaper said Maines will add six warehouse and driver jobs at its Savage, MD, distribution center, one of nine in its network, which will service the new chain outlets.

Last month, Maines announced it signed a three-year, $60 million distribution deal with Roy Rogers Restaurants.
