The “Inspiration in a Can” recipe contest, sponsored by The American Iron and Steel Institute’s Steel Packaging Council, is open to student and professional chefs. Contestants may enter recipes in one of two categories: All-American Regional or Classic with a Twist; there will be one professional and one student chef winner in each category, with a $1,000 cash or scholarship prize awarded. Entries will be accepted from September 1-November 30, 2006, with the winning recipes to be selected by a panel of chefs and industry professionals.
