Monzingo Named ceo of Central California Sysco Unit



Monzingo, who currently served as executive vice president of that operation, assumes her new position immediately. She succeeds retiring president and chief executive officer John Torza.

Monzingo, 45, first joined the Modesto operation in 1993 as a staff accountant and progressed through a variety of management positions before being named controller in 1995. She was appointed director of finance the following year and advanced to vice president of finance in 1997. In 2003 she was promoted to senior vice president of finance and she was appointed to her current position in July 2005.

Monzingo was born in Santa Ana, CA, and raised in Bakersfield. She earned her Bachelor's degree at the United States Air Force Academy in 1983 and in 1987 was awarded a Master's degree in management at Troy State University. She and her husband, Mike, have a son and a daughter and reside in Oakdale, CA.
