Carrols Restaurant Group said it has acquired 46 Burger King units during the fourth quarter, bringing its total number of Burger King restaurants to 705.
Carrols, the QSR’s largest franchisee, said it acquired the additional units over the course of six different deals.
“We are focused on capturing operational synergies and enhancing profitability at the restaurants we have acquired over the past couple of years,” CEO Daniel Accordino said. “At the same time, we continue to pursue opportunities to acquire additional Burger King restaurants in support of our ongoing expansion objectives.”
Earlier this year, Accordino noted that Carrol’s also planned to complete as many as 95 restaurant remodels by year’s end.
