Denny’s chimes in on iPhone release

Denny's capitalized on Apple's high-profile introduction yesterday of the iPhone 7 by tweeting a series of unlikely connections between the device and the restaurant chain's new pancakes.

One tweet read, “True innovation would have been replacing the headphone jack with a flapjack,” and was posted with a GIF of a pancake landing on the new phone. So far, it has been retweeted just under 3000 times.

Due to the new phone being water resistant, the chain also tweeted “The new water-resistant pancake” with a GIF of running water on top of a pancake. According to digiday.com, the tweet was retweeted nearly 2,000 times within 30 minutes.
