El Pollo Loco said that its chief operating officer, Kay Bogeajis, has left the QSR chain to follow personal interests.

Bogealis’ departure was effective March 30, El Pollo Loco said, noting that internal personnel will assume her duties while the chain searches for a successor.

“I would like to thank Kay for the valuable contributions she has made to our team over the last three years,” El Pollo Loco CEO Steve Sather said in a statement. “I wish her well in all of her future endeavors.”

Before joining El Pollo Loco, Bogeajis had previously served as vice president of retail operations at Peet’s Coffee & Tea, and had held a number of leadership positions at Taco Bell and Burger King
