Hogsalt teams up with Restoration Hardware

Restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff and his Hogsalt Hospitality group have opened three eateries inside Restoration Hardware’s new flagship store in downtown Chicago, according to DNAinfo.

The three options, collectively called 3 Arts Club Cafe, include a full restaurant, a small coffee shop and a wine bar. The 3 Arts Club Cafe menu notes that the collaboration between Sodikoff and Restoration Hardware CEO Gary Friedman aspires to muddy "the lines between residential and retail, home and hospitality, indoor and outdoor, integrating the decorative arts, culinary arts and contemporary arts,” DNAinfo says.

Due in large part to Sodikoff’s nontraditional approach, Hogsalt has become a tour de force in the Chicago area during recent years, spawning such concepts as a doughnut window, upscale burger bar, barbecue joint and ramen shop. On a recent Restoration Hardware earnings call, Friedman noted that he had “the best restaurant operator” as a partner at the Chicago store, calling the collaboration “like a little test” for the home-furnishings company.
