Ignite shuffles management after closing Romano’s deal

Jim Mazany has exited the president’s post at Joe’s Crab Shack and Michael Dixon has stepped down as president of the chain’s parent company, Ignite Restaurant Group, following Ignite’s completion of the sale of Romano’s Macaroni Grill.

Mazany’s successor as head of Joe’s Crab Shack was not named.

Dixon’s responsibilities as president of Ignite have been assumed by the company’s CEO, Ray Blachette. Dixon also served as CFO, a role he relinquished to Brad Leist.

Simultaneously, David Catalano has been promoted to COO of both Joe’s Crab Shack and its sister brand, the Brick House man-cave concept.

Blanchette described the changes as “right-sizing” following the previously announced sale of Romano’s to Redrock Partners.
