Jamba Juice has named Rachel Phillips-Luther—former marketing chief at Zoes Kitchen—as CMO of the smoothie-and-juice chain.
She replaces Julie Washington, who left Jamba Juice at the end of May.
“I am delighted to have Rachel join the Jamba team,” CEO Dave Pace said in a statement. “Rachel brings tremendous energy and an instinctive understanding of the consumer.”
Ahead of her time at Zoes, Phillips-Luther served in leadership positions at Kona Grill, Romacorp and Sambuca Restaurants.
The CMO appointment, effective Aug. 9, is the newest shift for the chain, which has been under new leadership since CEO James White retired and is in the middle of relocating its home office from Emeryville, Calif., to a town outside of Dallas.
The brand also earlier this month debuted a California concept unit, where it will test new products.
