Darden Restaurants has named Todd Burrowes president of LongHorn Steakhouse, effective Tuesday.
This move marks Burrowes’ return to the 470-unit steakhouse brand, as he spent more than 10 years in leadership positions at the chain before taking on the COO role at Ruby Tuesday two years ago. He succeeds Valerie Insignares, who parted ways with LongHorn Steakhouse last week to pursue other interests.
"We are excited to welcome Todd back to LongHorn Steakhouse," Darden CEO Gene Lee said in a statement. "Todd is an energetic and passionate leader who truly understands our culture and how to inspire and motivate our team members.”
In the wake of Burrowes’ resignation, 736-unit Ruby Tuesday has promoted Brett Patterson to the role of Concept President, a title previously held by Burrowes.
