Moms’ group blasts Olive Garden for aiding the devil

A conservative pro-family group is organizing a protest against Olive Garden for running commercials during “Lucifer,” a new Fox TV series that follows the high-roller life of a current-day Satan.

The group, One Million Moms, says the show is “spiritually dangerous” because it “glorifies Satan as a caring, likeable person in human flesh.”

It is urging consumers via the group’s website and communications to contact Olive Garden and demand that the chain stop encouraging “sympathy for the devil.”

One Million Moms was founded 35 years ago as a voice for mothers who are fed up with what the group regarded as filth in popular culture.

The Tupelo, Miss.-based organization has pressured a number of consumer product companies to drop their advertising support of shows that do not meet its values. Most recently, the group says on its website, it succeeded in pressuring the Sleep Number bedding company to stop running commercials on the new TV program “Angel from Hell.”

The group has also criticized the Carl’s Jr. burger chain for featuring scantily clad women in its commercials.
