Taco Bell has added delivery service in four more markets and started delivery of catering orders in one.
With the expansion into Chicago, Minneapolis, San Diego and Houston, about 200 Taco Bells in 100 cities are now offering delivery through the DoorDash third-party service. Stores in Houston are also lugging catering orders to customers’ doors.
The partners charge a flat fee for delivery, starting at $3.99 and varying from market to market. There is no minimum-order size.
Expansion of the service comes a month after Taco Bell started offering delivery in a handful of markets. "We've been incredibly encouraged by our first tests," said Tressie Lieberman, VP of digital innovation and on demand services for Taco Bell.
