Wendy’s new deal: Three-meat meal for $4

wendys 4 for 4

In a twist on the standard bundled meal, Wendy’s is flycasting for bargain hunters with a new four for $4 deal: a small bacon cheeseburger, four chicken nuggets, small order of fries and a small drink, at a suggested price of $4.

Many packaged deals offer a choice of a sandwich or chicken nuggets, but not necessarily both.

The offer is the latest example of a major chain trying to land value-minded customers without resorting to dollar deals. This summer, McDonald’s promoted a $2.50 meal of a double cheeseburger and fries. Burger King sold Chicken Fries for about $3 per order, as well as a two-for-$5 sandwich offer.

Wendy’s noted in announcing the 4 for $4 Meal that the offer is aimed at lunch patrons, and that the deal will be offered for a limited time unless demand warrants a permanent inclusion on the menu.
