Zoes’ new takeout bid: Family meal packs

Zoës Kitchen (ZOES), a fast-casual restaurant concept offering tasty and simple Mediterranean dishes, today announced the debut of its Mediterranean Family Meals, a complete take home dinner solution for families on the go. Introduced just in time for the back-to-school season, Mediterranean Family Meals are designed to help time pressed families come together and enjoy a wholesome, balanced meal around the table that delivers goodness through nutritious food. Zoës Kitchen embraces the positive benefits of the Mediterranean lifestyle, which focuses on the value of eating real food made from real ingredients, and connecting with loved ones to celebrate life. The Mediterranean Family Meal embodies that philosophy.

Zoës Kitchen Mediterranean Family Meals are a complete dinner solution designed to serve families of all sizes. Guests can choose chicken, steak or shrimp kabobs, grilled chicken entrees or Zoës’ famous Roll-Up combos, along with two fresh sides of their choosing, Greek salad, and pita bread. All meals are made from scratch, and prepared by hand using fresh produce and lean proteins that are predominately preservative and additive free. You won’t find any fryers or microwaves at Zoës Kitchen. Mediterranean Family Meals can be enjoyed at the Zoës Kitchen table or at your own kitchen table, making it a simple way to bring the family together for dinner.

“Providing a wholesome and nutritious meal for my family is incredibly important; but between my schedule and my kids’ schedules it can be tough to pull it off,” commented Rachel Phillips-Luther, Vice President of Brand & Marketing for Zoës Kitchen. “With Zoës’ Mediterranean Family Meals, parents can quickly pick up a meal for the entire family and feel great about sharing a made-from-scratch dinner that everyone loves. Living Mediterranean isn’t just about eating real food, it’s also about connecting around the dinner table, and Zoës Mediterranean Family Meals give families time back to share with the ones they love.”

Coinciding with the introduction of Mediterranean Family Meals, Zoës Kitchen has launched a social media initiative to spark conversation around the dinner table while helping to end childhood hunger in America. Zoës is asking families to share videos of their kids answering fun questions via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the opportunity to raise money for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign.

Starting today, guests can share videos of their kids answering a conversation starter question with the hashtags #ZoesTableTalk and #NoKidHungry. For each video shared, Zoës Kitchen will donate $1 to the No Kid Hungry campaign through Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Through the No Kid Hungry campaign, $1 feeds a child struggling with hunger up to 10 meals. Watch fan videos and learn more at the Zoës Kitchen Facebook page.

#ZoesTableTalk participants will also have the chance to win a variety of goodies, including games for family game night and Zoës Kitchen gift cards for future Mediterranean Family Meals purchases.
