Nicholas & Company awarded 2012 IFMA's Excellence in Distribution Award

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (August 31, 2012)—Nicholas and Company Inc., ranked 17th in the ID Top 50, was awarded the Excellence in Distribution award from the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association.

The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) has announced the winners of its sixth annual Distributor Awards, a program created to recognize outstanding foodservice distribution organizations and industry leaders. The trade association recognizes a corporate or independent distribution organization each year that demonstrates excellence in the categories of management and leadership, customer relations, supplier relations and industry/community contributions.  The 2012 winners will be honored at a banquet during the IFMA/IFDA Presidents Conference in November.

Nicholas & Company’s was founded in 1939 and continues to flourish under their current third-generation leadership. Along the way, the company has been honored with numerous awards including the Utah Department of Workforce Services Work/Life Award for ten consecutive years, Best Company to Work for in 2005 and 2011 from Utah Business Magazine and Best of State Statue and awards in 2003, 2006, 2009 - 2012.
