NRAEF Releases Fourth Edition of ServSafe for Managers

The on-line course was designed with the busy schedule of restaurant and foodservice operators and their staff in mind, according to association food safety experts. The ServSafe Manager Certification Training Online Course is self-paced and navigation is intuitive, allowing users to easily review key concepts from an Internet connection, they said.

"On-line training is a growing segment within our industry, and more operators are turning to web-based training in order to provide their staff with consistent training across multiple locations," said Mary Adolf, president and coo. "Our on-line course helps prepare students for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exam with audio and video instruction; interactive exercises that simulate real-life scenarios; and pre- and post-tests to help students measure their level of understanding of food safety concepts."

The on-line course has a bilingual feature that allows users to switch languages (English/Spanish) at anytime during the course. The course flow is intuitive and allows users to move about freely to review concepts. Other course features include "Study Guides" that provide supplemental information in the form of printable charts and a bookmark feature that allows students to easily return to where they left off.
