Performance Food Group Expands in Miami, Florida

MIAMI (April 7, 2011)—Performance Food Group (PFG) has completed a 66,000 square foot expansion of its Performance Foodservice-Empire distribution facility in Miami, Florida.

The Company said this expansion provides PFG with significant capacity for growth in the Florida market.

"With our facility expansion complete, we are excited about the opportunity to expand our product offering. This expansion project is evidence of our Company's continued investment in growth," said Wayne Entsminger, president of Performance Foodservice-Empire.

Mac Pearce, president and CEO of Performance Foodservice, added, "Performance Food Group has a number of facility expansions underway. We are pleased to support the growth of our Performance Foodservice-Empire facility and we look forward to utilizing this additional capacity to support our customers in the Florida market." Performance Foodservice noted that the expansion is estimated to add over 50 new jobs over the next four years to their existing workforce of over 135 associates.
