TAUNTON, MA. (November 3, 2010)—Perkins Paper, Inc. has announced the agreement to purchase certain assets of Cirelli Foods, Inc. of Middleborough, MA, effective November 1, 2010.
Perkins is a privately owned broadline wholesale distributor of food service paper, janitorial & sanitation, restaurant equipment & supplies and food products. Their main focus of distribution is the New England region, as well as New York and New Jersey. They are a member of UNIPRO, NPTA, ISSA, SEFA, DDA, IFDA, as well as being one of the founding members of Network Associates, Mount Prospect, IL.
“We believe that this acquisition is consistent with our long stated goal of creating profitable growth both internally and externally”, stated Gary Perkins, Chief Executive Officer of Perkins. Perkins further stated that, “The marketing strength and product assortment of Cirelli Foods, Inc. is synergistic with Perkins’ existing company profile”.
