Progressive Group's Business Services Print Shop Wins Top Award

RICHMOND, VA - Business Services Print Shop, a division of Progressive Group Alliance here, was recently awarded first place in the Printing Industries of Virginia (PIVA) 2004 Best in Print competition in the larger than 6x9 booklets, digital process category, the distributor marketing group announced today.

The award-winning piece, Focus 2005, was created by Business Services Design and Publishing and was printed in-house by the Print Shop.

"This is our first time winning a PIVA award and it really is a significant achievement for the Business Services Print Shop and the whole Business Services Team," said Peggy Cunningham, executive vice president of business services.

Business Services provides value-added resources to all of its business partners, including training, marketing campaigns, meeting planning, travel, a national service supplier program and an array of print services. The Print Shop, headed by Production Manager Wes Morgan, and aided by Angel Ortiz, production assistant, has kept pace with ever changing industry standards and increasing technological advances with digital printing, company executives observed. The first place award is based on exceptional color, process and clarity of digital process printing.

The Annual Best in Print competition recognizes excellence in printing in Virginia with an awards banquet that will be held Jan. 31 Williamsburg.
