Recine Named Executive Vice President of Sysco-Metro New York



Recine, who currently serves as senior vice president of transportation, fleet, safety and security for operation that is based in Jersey City, NJ, will assume his new role effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Recine, 45, began his Sysco career in 1989 as a marketing associate for the company's Albany, NY, operation, where he advanced to district sales manager in 1992. In 1995 he joined Sysco Food Services of Metro New York in the same capacity and the following year he was named regional sales manager. Recine was promoted to regional vice president of that company in 1999, then vice president of territory sales in 2001, and in 2003 he was appointed to his current position.

Recine was born in The Bronx, NY, and raised in nearby Hastings on the Hudson. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1982 from Mercy College, and in 1984 was awarded his Master of Science degree in hotel and foodservice management from Florida International University. Recine has two sons and resides in New City, NY.
