Black and white sesame seeds make a good looking crust for these chicken breasts. Rice noodles with a roasted garlic teriyaki sauce make this dish complete.
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup black sesame seeds
1 cup Japanese bread crumbs
8 5-oz. chicken breast halves, boneless and skinless
Salt and pepper, as needed
2 eggs, slightly beaten and mixed with 1 tbsp. water
3 tbsp. olive oil
Rice noodles with roasted garlic teriyaki sauce
Green beans, optional
- On a large plate, combine the sesame seeds and bread crumbs until completely mixed. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, dip into egg wash, and then sesame mixture.
- In a large pan, heat oil until hot but not smoking. Add chicken in batches, sesame side down, and cook the chicken, turning once, for 10-12 min. or until cooked through.
- Serve with rice noodles dressed in roasted garlic teriyaki sauce and green beans, if desired.
