Spicy Kara-Avo

Spicy Kara-Avo with Kikkoman Kara-Áge Soy-Ginger Seasoned Coating Mix is spicy, crispy and creamy. Perfect as an appetizer, it’s easy to make and easy to enjoy. There’s no mixing, marinating or mess; just toss a little Kikkoman Kara-Áge with avocado slices and deep-fry or shallow-fry. 


4 cups egg whites
¼ cup Kikkoman Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
24 avocados, pitted, peeled and cut into 6 wedges each
6 cups Kikkoman Kara-Áge Soy-Ginger Seasoned Coating Mix


  1. Whisk together egg whites and sriracha sauce.
  2. Dip 6 avocado wedges per serving in egg mixture, then in kara-áge. Repeat.
  3. Deep-fry avocadountil golden; serve with Ponzu Mayonnaise (made with prepared mayo combined with Kikkoman Ponzu Citrus Seasoned Dressing & Sauce and sesame oil, to taste).
