The chain is scheduled to begin a test of all-white-meat, whole-muscle chicken nuggets with two new sauces in Minneapolis on Thursday.

New to the lineup for the Taco Lover's Pass will be a Toasted Breakfast Taco coming on Oct. 12.

The Bottom Line: The chain opted not to keep its trademark in a fight with the much larger Taco Bell, given the likelihood that it would ultimately lose. So it did the next best thing.

The company decided that it wasn’t worth fighting Taco Bell to maintain its trademark and said it would instead donate to Children of Restaurant Employees.

The owner of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut is working with the customer data platform Treasure Data to give it a centralized view of customer data across all its brands.

The Mexican fast-food chain’s chief brand and strategy officer will take over the top job on Jan. 1 for Mark King, who is retiring.
