Seafood Excellence Awards to be granted at 2010 Boston Seafood Show

(March 10 2010)—The Seafood Excellence Awards (formerly the New Product Awards) at the International Boston Seafood Show & Seafood Processing America will recognize the product leaders in the North American seafood market.

On March 14th a panel of seafood buyers and experts from the retail and foodservice industries will select and present the 2010 Seafood Excellence Awards for “Best New Retail Product” and “Best New Foodservice Product.”

Eighty-one percent of visitors report finding new products and companies at the event.  The launch of the Seafood Excellence Awards will reinforce the International Boston Seafood Show as the key place to launch and see new seafood products in North America.

Seafood Excellence Awards finalists will be selected from products entered in the International Boston Seafood Show New Product Showcase.  The New Product Showcase features seafood products, condiments and culinary dishes launched in the past year by exhibiting companies.  These finalists will be judged onsite at the International Boston Seafood Show, by a panel of seafood buyers and experts from the retail and foodservice industries.   Winners of the Seafood Excellence Awards can use the newly launched Seafood Excellence logo to promote their success in the competition, marking them as leaders in the industry.

Winners will be announced on Sunday, March 14th, the opening day of the International Boston Seafood Show, which will run Sunday March 14th through Tuesday March 16th, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, MA.
