EASTVALE, CA. (February 20, 2012)—Shamrock Foods, one of the top 10 foodservice distributors nationally, has opened their newest distribution center in Southern California. The grand opening took place on Valentine's Day, with tours and a special dedication ceremony.
Shamrock Foods distributes approximately 8,000 food and foodservice items from the 12400 Riverside Drive, Eastvale, CA location. Hundreds of those items are California grown or processed.
“We recognize Southern California and the Inland Empire as a dynamic market with lots of growth opportunity, which is why we’ve selected this location for our new distribution center” said Kent Mullison, senior executive vice-president, and general manager for Shamrock Foods Southern California.
Shamrock Foods redesigned and moved into this location to expand its ability to serve their customers, from restaurants to health care facilities, military bases, schools, hotels and other foodservice operations.
The Shamrock Foods’ Southern California Distribution Center grand opening featured a special dedication ceremony, including remarks from Shamrock Foods founding family and local dignitaries, culminating with a formal ribbon cutting.
“The foodservice operator support in Southern California has been incredible thus far, and we’re eager to introduce ourselves and our new distribution center to the community,” added Mullison.
Shamrock Foods distributes dry groceries, fresh meat, seafood and poultry, fresh produce, fresh dairy, non-foods items, beverages, frozen foods, janitorial supplies, and more. This location also features a will-call area for quick and economical access to foodservice items an operator can pick up on his or her own, if they forgot to put an item on their normal delivery route.
