A tea strainer when pouring a cocktail

I am a strong believer that all shaken cocktails should go through a fine mesh strainer in addition to the traditional Hawthorne strainer. This removes mint and fruit particles in addition to ice crystals that will eventually water a cocktail down. A drink should taste the same from start to finish and ice shards prevent that—they melt as you sip your drink, leaving you with a watery last sip. Strain it!
