2016 Top 500: Casual-dining chains

Applebee's Sweet Onion Sirloin Shrimp Scampi

While the Top 500’s casual-dining segment increased sales by 3.5% to almost $58 billion in 2015, it’s losing share as other segments (read: limited service) outpace it. Not that there aren’t stellar performers—sports bar concepts, steak specialists and brands with a contemporary adult beverage program tend to lead the segment’s growth.
