Sean Dowd, president of T.A. Dowd, accepted the award along with Account Manager Pat Scullin at their headquarters. With more than 40 years in the business, T.A. Dowd is one of the oldest food brokerages in the country. Sugar Foods' representatives David Westlund, regional sales manager for the Southeast Region, and Roger Lamoureux, vice president of foodservice sales, were on hand to present the award to T.A. Dowd principals.

"From their headquarters near New Orleans, T.A. Dowd performed exceptionally in 2005, under very difficult circumstances," Lamoureux said. "In the months following Katrina, they were able to retain nearly all of their sales staff. We are pleased to name them our Broker of the Year."
